What happened?

Mr.Tuna,

I’m 47 years old, I’ve been listening to you from your KHJ days along with “The Real Don Steele”.

Back in the eighties, we worked together at a hotel in Westchester for the promotional movie “For Your Eyes Only’ with another guest “Robin Young” I have a picture in storage of you and I on stage. I was spinning records (you remember records) and you were introducing the artist. I remember you being not only a professional, but a nice person as well. When I dig this picture up, I”d like for you to sign it.

I did some radio work myself off and on as a sub late at night for a couple of oldie stations back in the eighties when someone was out sick. As well as their oldies concerts. Did some freelance DJ work with some promotional companies. Had a little following myself. I was invited as a local celebrity to certain charity events.

Back in October of 2005 I had a stroke, and at one of my post doctor visits, I was in the examining room, one of the nurses came in and asked me if I’m the same Dan Corral who was on KRLA for about a month late at night. I explained to her “yes, I was just a sub and was their until the real professional returned from his medical leave”. She asked if I had an autographed picture for her on my next visit. This hasn’t happen to me in over twenty plus years. I was telling my wife what had happened and “How fun were those times”.

Please keep my email address on hand to let me know when you return back on the air.

Sorry for the “memory lane” letter, and thanks for your time.
