Dear Charlie Tuna. I am glad you are back on K-earth 101 and you do a wonderful job as you have always done in the past from your KHJ days to KCBQ and then to the other station around L.A. My question to you is this. I have been a fan of Oldies Radio since KRTH was called KHJ FM and the KHJ AM jocks did the voice over for the FM station. I also remember that these oldie stations began because people were tired of the crap being played on AM radio, such as disco etc. But now, all the oldie stations around the country play the same 300 songs and they left the fifties behind and we are hearing too much disco and not enough of good rock n roll. Why not play the mid-to late fifties and the early sixties as these stations were meant to play. To be honest I began listening to XM radio and I am quite satisfied. I left commercial radio because it abandoned those of us who enjoy real old fashion rock n roll. I will turn on KRTH when you are on, but if I don’t like the music I will turn back to XM radio. In the 70′s I myself tried getting into radio as a DJ because I was influenced by you, Robert W Morgan and the Real Don Steele, Dave Hull the Hullabalooer and others. Thank you for returning home.

Sincerely, a concerned fan of Oldies

John Gunningham
