Filling in for Christina Kelley on KRTH last night, the calls started coming in with wishes for a Happy Birthday on Friday, and the emails continued this morning! I really appreciate your thoughtfulness. How you remember from year to year just astounds me.
My mom, God bless her, remembers everything that ever happened to me! She created a lot of scrapbooks and photo albums for me to look back on our family history, and just sent me these pictures for my birthday archives this year of my beginnings in Nebraska.

This year’s birthday was very special too, because I’ve been notified by the National Radio Hall of Fame in Chicago that I’m one of the 2008 nominees who will be voted on to see which of us will be inducted into that Hall this November in Chicago!
It will be interesting this year because for the first time, not just radio industry peers, but the public will be invited to register and vote for their favorites too. The voting doesn’t start until May 1st and lasts till July 15th this Summer, but here’s the link in case you want to check it out. There will also be exhibits about recycling, transforming regular old backyards into havens for wild creatures, and more lessons in celebrating, protecting and nurturing the environment.
Activities are free with zoo admission.
