Brooklyn-based artist Joseph Herscher creates elaborate Rube Goldberg-style machines in his Brooklyn apartment. His most recent machine turns a newspaper page after an elaborate two minute process that involves a burning fuse and a hamster. Herscher’s fixation with elaborate machines began four years ago in his native New Zealand when he built a machine to smash a Cadbury creme egg.
