Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes reached a weekend divorce settlement it was announced Monday, less than two weeks after Holmes filed according to a statement issued by Jonathan W. Wolfe, an attorney for Holmes. “The case has been settled and the agreement has been signed. We are thrilled for Katie and her family and are excited to watch as she embarks on the next chapter of her life. We thank Tom’s counsel for their professionalism and diligence that helped bring about this speedy resolution.” Cruise and Holmes, who were married five years, did not disclose any details about who would have custody of their daughter Suri, or what financial arrangements were reached, although it’s believed Katie will have primary custody of Suri while living in New York, and Tom will have generous visitation rights. Just prior to announcing that a settlement was reached, reps for Holmes and Cruise issued a joint statement saying they were moving forward with Suri’s best interests in mind.
