NFL Game 1 this past Wednesday night saw Dallas upsetting the New York Giants, and still no regular NFL referees as the billionaire league won’t throw the officials and their union a bone! According to Ron Borges of the Boston Herald, if the referees’ union were to capitulate to every demand that NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell now has on the table, it would save every NFL team the sum of — wait for it — $62,500 per year. That’s from a league that makes something north of 9 billion dollars a season!
