How to Make a Flaming Pumpkin, Jack O Lantern. Great for Halloween parties etc. Design and carve the pumpkin out, then put a toilet roll inside and saturate with Kerosene, then set on fire. Should burn for a couple of hours and looks great! Tipping a bucket of water quickly into the top of the pumpkin put it out a treat for me, but the correct way to extinguish it would be to use either a foam, powder or a CO2 fire extinguisher, or throw a fire blanket over it. The creator of this video cautions, if you’re not confident about extinguishing a fire, maybe this experiment isn’t for you, but if you are going to try it make sure you do it in a safe and sensible place outside where nothing will catch fire. The flames will burn out with in a couple of hours. If you use less fuel it should burn out quicker.
