WE MISS YOU!!!

From: Suzanne Hoeltzer

I heard you tell me it was your last day.

I really wanted it to be an April Fools Joke, however, it wasn’t.

My long drives to work were not bad because you were right there, keeping me
company.

I miss you and I know that others do too.

I would always look forward to you in the morning to help me take my mind
off of the drive to work.

I checked three times and no, you weren’t around.

That format may work elsewhere, but we really want/need you back.

Let us know where we can find you so we can get our daily fix!

I’m hoping there are enough of us out there not listening so maybe they will
think it over and ask you to do the morning show to RAISE THE RATINGS.

Your website is great and I thank your son.

We actually are able to sort of get our daily fix!

Please keep us informed and up to date.

Missing you…

miss you charlie

From: Maeve Odo

Charlie, you have been a big part of my life, listening to your wonderful voice talking to all of us, every morning on my way to work. You have/had a very soothing voice, baritone like. I first heard you many years ago, when i was driving down to my daughters in San Clemente. It was Christmas week and this was the first time i heard that voice. Shortly thereafter, you became the early part of KBIG AND FROM THEN ON I NEVER CHANGED THE STATION1! I will surely miss you Charlie. You did a fantastic job every morning . You even had a great rapport with all the other staff, that is how it came across to us, on the other side. Let us know when you get the next gig!!! You will be sorely missed. No KBIG for me anymore. Fondly, Maeve

I’ve listened to radio since before you were born; you are the best

From: John K Moyna

I first heard of you in 1966 at KOMA while driving from NY to SanFran to relocate for my job; I thought at that moment you were the best jock I had ever heard…..that from one who grew up in NY and New England; a year later I was back on the East Coast and I stumbled across your broacast from “Pontiac Village” (which is obviously long gone) on WMEX; while I never lived in LA I travelled there frequently on business….and after I retired my son now District Mgr for Pfizer in Beverly Hills lived in LA; when there I always set my clock radio to turn to your morning show (although more than once or twice I had to check to see which station that would be!) hope you are back on the air soon, somewhere, doing not just what you do best….but what you do better than anyone else! and I grew up with morning jocks like herb oscar anderson, klavan & finch (even rayburn & finch before that), ted brown, joe o’brien, etc.etc); you’re the best of all time

WE MISS YOU!!!

From: Martha Rojas

Hey Charlie,

I hope it’s okay to call you by first name, but you really feel like family to us.

I got used to waking up with you and the morning crew everyday at 6:00 a.m. Once ready, my kids and I drove to school listening to you, I dropped them off at school and continued listening in the car until I got to work. Once at work continued listening throughout the day.

I was very surprised, more of a shock I would say, when I heard your last day at KBIG.

WHAT HAPPENED!!! COMPLETE CHANGE!

I hope to hear your voice very soon even if it’s a different radio station. I don’t think I had ever gotten so attached to someone like I did listening to you, Irma, Producer Heather, Lori Ryan, etc.

WHERE DID EVERYBODY GO??

Keep us posted as to your next move. LOVE YOU AND WE MISS YOU!!

TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK, YOU DESERVE THE VERY BEST.

Martha Rojas
