I was listening to your show today, Sunday, Feb 28, when I heard you mention paintings from a young girl who says she had visions of heaven. Can’t find the link to the pictures. Can you help?
I just found your radio station program today KEARTH101 great show…I am so sorry for your loss. I left a comment. I was trying to find the link you talked about today of the little girl that was painting visions from God…could you please send that to me?
Thank you.
Karen
(NOTE TO KAREN: Here’s your video of that little girl, and thank you for your kind words about our little Maltese dog, Bailey. He passed away after a number of ailments, the last one being Pancreatitis. It’s a very sad week for us.)
You’re absolutely correct about Neil Solomon …We went to the Restaurant a week ago Friday night. We were in a bit of hurry as we had to be in Beverly Hills for a show. We asked him if we could be in and out in an hour. He said he would have us out no problem.
He seated us right away, and He personally came and took our order so it would get to the kitchen in a timely manner. Our waitress was a little busy at the time. He was a great help. Everything was perfect !! We were in and out in 45 minutes.
I have been listening to you for at least 30 years. In 1980 I was stationed at Camp Pendleton and drove down every mornng from Mission Viejo. Your joke of the day would put me in the right frame of mind. Now I am long since retired , but still enjoy you. Radio with you as the DJ has a delicate flavor that no one else can match.
You are absolutely the very best. I look forward to weekends when you are on. I am listening to you now. It helps make my day. Keep up the good work. You are an American treasure.
Today I was looking back through a stack of stuff and found an old Programmer’s Digest from 1972. Robert W’s “Farewell to LA” was on the disk, as well as, a clip I did with a buddy of mine. I found old “Pams” jingle boxes and air checks like those from Don Imus, The Real Don Steele, Dr. Donald D. Rose, John “Records” Landecker and, of course, Charlie Tuna.
At 20 years old, I was on the Radio and 10 foot tall and bullet proof. I put in my time on the air, but I had a love for flying airplanes. I just finished up my career with 20 years of service with a major air carrier. I have been around the world countless times, I have skirted more thunderstorms than I dare to recall, but it will never compare to hitting the cart…hearing your name on a jingle…and opening the mic and letting the “golden tones” hit the air.
I have started playing with the internet and have a program for some of my pilot friends at aircargoradio.com. It is my attempt at trying to reconnect to the past.
A lot of the guys I looked up to are gone now. Just wanted you to know how much I enjoyed your shows over the years. Thanks for staying true to the profession, and thanks for the memories.

Again, that will start on March 1, 2010. And I’ll always do my best to make it interesting for you! You can follow me at http://twitter.com/charlietunashow

HOW COLD IS IT IN THE MIDWEST? FIRST NORWEGIAN ICEBREAKER HEADS UP THE MISSISSIPPI!
As you may have seen on the news, it’s been very cold in the Midwest, so cold in fact that we have borrowed a Norwegian Icebreaker from Wisconsin to unclog the Mississippi starting over near Davenport, Iowa and working it’s way North.
WANNA GET A SNEAK PREVIEW OF WHAT HEAVEN LOOKS LIKE? THIS YOUNG LADY PAINTS IT!
Arkiyana was 12 years old when this story first was shown on CNN in 2007. She started painting at age 4. Her Mother is an atheist, so God was never discussed in their home–she really had never been taught anything about Him or the Bible. She has visions and has told her Mom she has visited heaven numerous times. She says God gives her the talent. She has never had an art lesson.
P.S. Her family now believes in God!

Hi Charlie,
I’ve been following your career since the KHJ days after meeting you at an Australian radio convention in the mid 1970s & was delighted when you moved to K-Earth after your short spell “in the cold” – even more delighted that I could listen to you in hi-fi via my internet radio. You may be aware that CBS Radio ceased their international streaming as of this month – & I want you to know that our Sydney household is suffering extreme withdrawal symptoms as we can no longer enjoy you, (or The Wave for our late night listening). A cruel blow has been struck!
Despite losing contact with your Aussie admirers – keep up the good work & all good wishes.
