The Super-Moon is the perigee full Moon passing Earth at it’s closest point all year and as a result will be as much as 14% bigger and 30% brighter than other full moons of 2012. For fifteen years, doctors told Arthur Boorman he would never be able to walk again. Arthur was a paratrooper in the Gulf War, but after so many jumps, he blew out his back and knees. For fifteen years he couldn’t walk, and started packing on the depression pounds. But one day he found a yoga system he thought he could give a try. Scarlett Johansson got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame this past Wednesday. The 27-year-old actress received the 2,470th star placed near Madame Tussauds Hollywood. Scarlett’s reprising her role of Natasha Romanoff/The Black Widow from “Iron Man 2″ in the new “Avengers” film. In the movie, she teams up with Renner as Hawkeye, Iron Man, played by Robert Downey Jr., and various other Marvel Comics superheroes to try and stop the evil God Loki and his army. The film hits theaters this Friday, May 4!
Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises”, the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Batman trilogy. Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar winner Christian Bale (“The Fighter”) again plays the dual role of Bruce Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom Hardy, as Bane; Oscar winner Marion Cotillard (“La Vie en Rose”), as Miranda Tate; and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake. Returning to the main cast, Oscar winner Michael Caine (“The Cider House Rules”) plays Alfred; Gary Oldman is Commissioner Gordon; and Oscar winner Morgan Freeman (“Million Dollar Baby”) reprises the role of Lucius Fox.
The Freedom Tower, also technically known as One World Trade Center, just surpassed every other skyscraper in New York City, a serious milestone. And with the anniversary of the killing of Osama Bin Laden on everyone’s mind, the rising of the tower has even greater significance.
