Soul Train Creator Don Cornelius Dead Of An Apparent Suicide at 75!

Don Cornelius, creator of the iconic “Soul Train” was found dead in his Sherman Oaks, California home Wednesday morning, and law enforcement sources indicated it appears he committed suicide. Police discovered the body at around 4 AM PT. Cornelius died from a gunshot wound to the head and officials believe the wound was self-inflicted. Cornelius was taken to the Cedars-Sinai hospital where he was pronounced dead. “Soul Train” changed the television landscape when it debuted in 1971 and ran until 2006.

Peace can happen! This is a video of Greg Pike, a homeless man in Santa Barbara and his pets. They work State Street every week for donations. Pike rigged up a harness for his cat so she wouldn’t have to walk so much (like the dog and himself). At some juncture the rat came along, and as no one wanted to eat anyone else, the rat started riding with the cat and, often, on the cat! The Mayor of Santa Barbara filmed this clip and sent it out as a holiday card.
