Charlie,

I have been out of town and came back to the new station format and about fell out of my office chair. I’m so disappointed with this new format. What the owners are thinking is beyond me. I loved your show and I love the old radio station…I loved Boogie Nights….and all the music and mixes at night. I’m 38 and grew up with most of that music and your program and radio station was the one station that made me feel like I was a kid again. It was so nice to listen to your program everyday…You will be sadly missed. I’ve already removed the new program and station off of my car stereo and my work radio. This is such a HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. The new radio station is horrible….it just doesn’t compare. Your program and the old radio station stood out above the rest. I wish you all the luck in the world and keep us posted where ever you end up.

Best wishes!

Hi Charlie,

Was so disappointed to find out you are not on the radio any longer. I have been listening to your radio shows off and on since your were on KHJ. I am a baby boomer and did not listen to KBIG all the time…mostly, I listened to KOST 103.5 because I prefer ‘soft rock’ music. Lately, however, I have noticed that the variety is not what it used to be on the KOST and found myself switching to KBIG whenever they played a song I didn’t like.

They seem to have these “sudden” staff changes quite often in radio. I remember years ago I used to listen to you every morning on my commute to work & especially looked forward to your “telephone poll”. Then suddenly, one day you were gone and so was the station (can’t remember the call letters). I was so upset, but was later glad to hear you were still around in radio. Dejavu!

Anyway, love your voice, your wit and humor…you are the most entertaining disk jockey I’ver ever heard. Please keep me posted as to where you will be broadcasting again. I’m sure you will be on the airwaves soon.

Good luck and best wishes….hope to hear from you soon – either by email or on the radio!

Hi Charlie I wanted to give you my email address so I know when and where you will be back on the radio again. And I know you will be back, I have been listening to you since 1970 ,(except when you were at the country and western station in orange county, I could not get that station where I live) I know that you love radio too much to retire so I know that you will be back so I will check in on your website from time to time, but please email when you get another job.

Good luck Charlie and I hope to hear you back on the radio very soon.

Dave

Dear Charlie,

I miss you in the mornings terribly! During the long process of getting ready for work my radio was NEVER off KBIG … now it is tuned to something else. I truly hope to hear you back on the radio someday, somewhere.

My Best and Warmest Regards,

-Mary
