Charlie Sheen Is In The House, In A New Fiat Ad, Under “House Arrest”!

Posted by: | March 5, 2012 at 8:28 a.m.

Fiat finally figured out how to capitalize on Charlie Sheen’s bad boy image! After self-destructing antics got him killed off from “Two and a Half Men”, & with a new sitcom “Anger Management” set to debut June 28 on FX, Charlie’s now starring in a car spot that takes full advantage of his reputation. Fiat’s new 500 Abarth hatchback is the bad boy of its showroom lineup, & the logical pitchman, Charlie Sheen. A commercial shows the compact Abarth speeding perilously around an opulent mansion during a party filled with beautiful women, and despite burning rubber & echoing screeches, the guests seem unfazed, even cheering on the driver who’s seemingly disrupting their party. At the end, Sheen steps out to applause, location-monitoring bracelet visibly on his ankle and a gorgeous woman by his side, stating “I love being under house arrest, What do I get for good behavior?”

PJ THE DJ AND CHARLIE “LUNA” HIGH FIVE EACH OTHER IN THE MOON-FM RADIO STUDIO!
Just over a year ago, I received a call out of the blue from Steve Syatt, creator of “Shushybye”, and “The Dreamsters”, two TV shows for toddlers & pre-schoolers. Steve invited me to join the cast as a DJ on the Dreamsters/Shushybye radio station, MOON-FM, as Charlie Luna, (Luna = MOON…see the connection:). It was a part Steve wrote with me in mind, & has been a fun ride as the shows have been in development! One of the other draws was Steve’s line-up of stars he had recruited to sing the show’s songs he also wrote & created! One of those stars who finished a song just last year for the show was Davy Jones! Steve & I just talked this Friday about his time he spent with Davy & friend Ron Dante (The Archies – “Sugar Sugar”) who had introduced Steve & Davy, and how Steve was struck by just how nice, accommodating & gracious Davy was, the same impression I had from my studio interview time with Davy 25 years ago! Steve presented Davy a number of song options he had written to pick from, and the result was the song “There’s A Star”, Davy recorded for the “Shushybye” series launch in May on BabyFirst TV, A DirecTV network! Pictured at Davy Jones recording session in Las Vegas are from left to right, Ron Dante of The Archies & “Sugar Sugar” fame, Johnny J. Blair-member of Davy Jones band, Davy Jones, Singer Steve Lawrence-also part of the the “Shushybye” singing line-up, and Steve Syatt-Creator, Producer & Songwriter for “Shushybye”!
