Hi Charlie :)
It was such a good surprise to open my E-mail and find one from you ( yea) so glad to hear you are ready to get back in the saddle :)
My family and I have missed you soooooo much and all the great information you always gave us in the mornings :)
It is a shame K-Big went brain dead when they let you go. Oh well, their loss. we don't listsen to that station anymore ---so hurry and land somewhere.
Wishing you and your family a most Blessed Christmas and a New year filled with lots of happiness.
Love the Roberson Family :)

Charlie,
I think every one of your fans misses you on the air. I hope it is to FM and oldies rock-n-roll that you return. Just to let you know - Valentine is no Charlie Tuna!!! I do not think he will survive. I miss the great trivia, RnR knowledge and the morning talk you gave us.
Happy Holidays and hurry back.

HO!HO!HO!
Received: 12/24/2007 @ 12:28pm PST

Thanks Charlie for the update; I still wake up and miss all of you from THAT station that was stupid enough to let you go and change their entire format - don't listen to THAT station anymore! It sounds like you're movin' and groovin' and, as "Martha" would say, "that's a good thing". It's nice to know a celebrity such as yourself (and, yes, you ARE a celebrity)actually follows through and keeps in touch with the many fans who miss and want you back "on the air" - I feel honored to be included within your "fan base". So now I, like others, will simply wait for your return - and, please, pick a station that has a mind and, more importantly, a heart.
And so in closing, I would like to wish you, Charlie, and your family a Happy Holiday Season.
Take care and keep in touch.

WONDERFUL TO HEAR FROM YOU
Received: 12/24/2007 @ 11:53am PST
From: Marty Salas
Charlie,
First & foremost, hoping you and your loved ones are having a peaceful & happy holiday season.
It will be a most exciting day when you return to the L.A. radio world as your voice and the excitement you have always brought to the table is very sorely missed.
Since you are no longer on KBIG, I haven't even bothered listening to them. I understand Irma is still on the station, I know this because of the initial email I received showing the new name of the station along with my total amount of credits which are in excess of 36,000.
I have put KBIG on my "block sender's list" as I do not even want to bother with that station anymore and had asked them to remove me from their email list and to just exclude my points as I had no interest in listening to them or having anything to do with them since you were " royally screwed" by Clear Channel.
I know alot of people that listened to KBIG. There sentiments are exactly like mine as they have no interest in KBIG anymore & have switched to other respective stations.
Looking forward to the day when you rtn to the radio especially more so when KBIG can "bite the big one" and see their now minimal ratings drop even more knowing & understanding then what they just threw away in Charlie Tuna.
Have a very Merry Christmas along with a safe, prosperous, and most Happy New Yr!!!!!!!!!!!
Best Regards,
Marty Salas

Hello Charlie,
It is so nice to hear from you. I just want to say that KBIG is not the same without you. Both my husband and I no longer listen to MYFM or whatever it’s called because we miss you. We listened to you every morning on our way to work and when we didn’t hear your voice; we just tuned OUT!! I wish you the best this Holiday Season and may the New Year bring you much happiness and a new and better contract than you had with KBIG. I will continue to be a faithful listener so I can wait to hear you again next year. Good Luck and God Bless you.
Gus and Judy Plasencia
We love you Charlie Tuna

Dear Charlie - What a pleasure to hear from you. I lost your contact, but have you in my contact list now. I do miss listening to you in the morning, the new person is sort of dry, if I may say so. I know he is just doing his job, but he is not like you at all. You radiate energy when talking on the radio and you have much more compassion for people. I am so sad not to hear your voice in the morning waking up. I hope and pray you will be on a new show real soon. In the meantime I will check out your website now and read up on all the news.
I wish you and your loved ones a very "Merry Christmas" and a happy "New Year".
Best wishes - Marion Medlock

Charlie,
This is great news. I can hardly wait to hear where I can find you and listen to your broadcast everyday. I have lost interest in listening to the former KBIG station. It just isn't the same without you.
I hope you and your family have a safe and happy holiday. I look forward to hearing from you in 2008.

Hi Charlie,
Thanks for the update! I had been waiting to see what was going on and when we all can expect to hear you on radio again. I plan on using your website for entertainment info updates. We meaning a vast portion of the public are hoping to hear you again soon on the radio. Radio is not the same since you have been gone. Personally I use my CD player now because there is no one entertaining enough on radio now to listen to.
Clear Channel is not clear in what the public wants...which is you.
We will watch for the the TV ad show and plan on buying the DVD set. Sounds great! Will also watch the parade on TV. What's the possibility of having a TV show in the future? That would be great!
Do look forward to when we all can turn on the radio and hear that fun, upbeat distinctive voice to put a smile on our faces again and laugh at the stories.
Charlie.....we all miss you and radio is not the same without you! Have a Merry Christmas and we look forward to you being a part of our lives again in the new year.

It is not the same

Hi Charlie it was really a Christmas surprise to hear from you. Since you left 104, it is not the same, I personally do not listen to that station anymore. I drive Van Pool from Glendale to Simi Valley, and every morning I was looking forward to hearing you on that station, since you left I don't listen to them anymore, the voice of this Valentine guy is very annoying, the way he talks, no one in my van wants to hear him, so I changed my channel to 101, it is not the same but it is OK. I don't have a radio at work and I was so happy with my one hour drive having you to keep me company. I miss your gentle voice it helped me to start a nice day, I hope I can hear you and be with you on another channel. Please let me know if you will be on a local channel. I wish you and your family Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
I hope I hear from you soon.

Charlie,
Good luck. I look forward to hearing you somewhere again soon. I've stopped listening to 104.3 since they stopped airing you. It was not only the fact they took you off, but I didn't like the new format. I call it white boy sob music.
I've been forced to listed to 93.9 now, its ok; but not as good as your show was. There format is good, but not as well rounded as the old KBIG was.
Anyways, I hope to hear you soon. Please forward my comments to 104.3 if you can. Its really disappointing.
Thanks!

Merry Christmas Charlie and Family

Merry Christmas Charlie ...
Can't wait to hear when you return to radio again ... I've listened to you, since I was a kid on KHJ, I loved you & the real Don Steele. 104.3 MYFM is so flat now, it doesn't have the same feel. Every song almost sounds the same, a soft almost easy listening male voice. I can't exactly explain the sound. It's not happy & peppy like before. They say the music that you want to hear... Who are these people, that want to hear some of this stuff ??? The only reason that they kept listeners is because we all racked up bonus points, and like gamblers we can't stop. Once we use our points, I doubt that anyone will be back. Irma hardly has any air time. Christian Wheel has even less air time. Do you know what happened to the other DJ's ??? Like Brent ??? It's really sad. I can't even find a radio station that has the same type of music. What happened at KBIG was just like what happened to KMET all those years ago, I never thought that I'd see that again.
Have a wonderful Christmas with your family. Keep us all up dated on you. We'll be seeing you Christmas morning, and hope to hear you on another show real soon. Take Care Buddy, Sincerely Charyle

Hi Charlie,
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year. I am sure we will be hearing you again soon. I really miss having your voice in my classroom as I get ready for my students each day. KBIG isn't the same. I like the music, but not the format of the morning show. I haven't found a new station yet, so I am playing CDs. I know that you will be back on the air in the new year.
May God continue to send His Blessings to you and yours.

Have a wonderful New Year and we will watch the parade!!!
Come back soon, Charlie.

Missing You, Too!

You can take all of the emails you've received and know that I feel the very same as everyone else! I have less than a 10 min. drive to work each day, but I would listen only to KBIG to and from. I didn't wake up to a buzz in the morning, but woke up to your show. You, Irma, Lori - what on earth happened???? When I realized that Lori was also gone, I really was so disappointed. I loved her sense of humor. I still listen to KBIG out of "loyalty" I guess you could say, but it is not the same. Irma tries w/Valentine, but it's just not there. Nothing personal against Valentine as I don't and never will know him, but the morning show just ain't what it used to be. I so enjoyed listening to someone my age, or very close, someone I could relate to. I am a very young "older" person and love top 40 music and all the chatter in the morning. I use to laugh out loud in the car going to work. I agree with the person who said "when one door closes, another opens". You will find something bigger and better, Charlie, and your loyal fans will be right there with you. Take care, enjoy your time off, so-to-speak, and keep us informed. Enjoy this season with your family and friends, and have the most wonderful of years coming up - the saying is "a great 2008".
Love, Diane

Hi Charlie,
We sure miss you! To be honest with you I stopped listening to Kbig in the morning, I find Valentine a very rude person, Sometimes when he jokes around with other people he doesn't like he's thinking about the other person's feeling. I really like you! I've met you several times on different occassions. I might see you in one of the groceries since I live in Tarzana too.
I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! Always remember when the Lord closes the door he opens the window.
Have a wonderful holiday!
