Charlie, great to talk to you last Monday on KRTH and have an opportunity to win 97 gallons of gas! I have been listening to rock and roll in Los Angeles since 1957! I still have the 33 album of KFWB from the real old days. You gave a lot of gas away last week sitting in for Gary and I appreciate that. I have been working on cars in Tarzana since 1968 and have enjoyed listening to you for years! Glad to hear you back on an oldies station. Again, Thanks for the great music and the 97 gallons of gas! By the way, I am now an all access member, I never thought I would get through to a contest after all the years I tried.

Charlie, I just want to say how much I enjoy listening to you. I actually live in Chicago, I listen to the stream at work. I know of Kearth because I lived out there a few years ago and liked the station, besides the weather about the only thing I liked about California, I am just a true blue Midwesterner. I listen to you on weekends and last week when you filled in for Gary Brian, too bad you are not from Chicago you would do well here. I look forward to listening to you in the future.

Charlie, were you ever in San Diego area on the air? There was a guy there many moons ago that used the name of Charlie Tuna. Just curious.

(NOTE TO MURIEL: When I left KHJ in 1972, they paid me not to work on the air for someone else in the Los Angeles market for 6 months, so I wouldn't hurt their ratings. During that time, I received an offer from KCBQ in San Diego to do their morning show for however long I wanted. But with a syndication firm here in Woodland Hills and a daily Armed Forces Network Show I was doing in Hollywood, I decided to do a daily commute to San Diego starting at 3 a.m. from my Tarzana home each morning and returning in the early afternoon for my L.A. business. That happened over a 5 month period when KCBQ was doing a promotion called "The Last Contest", and we set ratings records in San Diego radio that have never been equaled. So it was probably me you heard!)

Welcome back! Too bad MyFM couldn't find it in their hearts to renew you. I'll be "tunaing" you in on Saturday and Sunday (no pun intended) BUT I REALLY THINK YOU SHOULD BE ON THE WEEKDAYS Monday through Friday. Just 2 weekend days are not enough. We just can't get enough of you and look forward to hearing your contageous laugh again. Hear you on the weekend and congratulations for coming back on the air!

Charlie -- this is the best news I have heard in 2008.
Congratulations!!! I wish you all the best in this new chapter and will try and listen to your shows as often as I can. I grew up listening to you, starting with KHJ -- so it will be very strange hearing your voice in the afternoon -- you have always been my favorite morning DJ.
